You may have noticed that my site hasn't been updated recently, and that it was badly broken - With Leaving CSIRO, Christmas, the new year and beginning a new career, I haven't had the time to fix it.

Now, that has changed. Since my last post, Many a thing has happened; I've seen Daft Punk ALIVE, which I'll post about soon, I've had many more car troubles (then again who hasn't), I've been through an eventful christmas and New Years, and enjoyed the new year, before being roped back into the workforce to toil away my days once again. Gotta pay for Uni some how, one must suppose.

I'm going to sleep for now as if I'm late for work tomorrow, this website will end up being updated much too often Undecided

When I get a spare moment, I'll give you all the nice details about what I've been up to during this website hiatus.

I want to describe to some people who I am in real life.

It doesn't get much better than this, however.

I was recently reading an article about the world's first commercial hard drive - 4.4Mb, twice as big as a fridge, weighed a ton. In the Slashdot commentary, there was tale of how people would squeeze every last living breath out of the technology that they had - one poster recalls working with a magnetic drum, with a head for every track; they would synchronize accesses to the hard drive between heads in order to reduce seek times between data to near 0ms - because 15ms for a drum to turn was too slow.

Looking at my P990i, I begin to ponder - where did that ingenuity go?

Not really a new concept, nor is it really flying (more like gliding), but the YouTube video was awesome.

I've always wanted to fly, with nothing more than the aid of a suit; But I fear it'll never be allowed in townships and the like for obvious reasons (contact with power poles, crashing into things, police can't book you for speeding) - which is a shame. Reminds me a of a Dutch design company that invented a motorcyle-come-helicopter that could fly at 280km/h.
